The Story
Thrive Coffee's Colombia Single Origin Coffee is a light-medium roast with sweet and fruity flavors, a creamy mouthfeel, and notes of grapefruit, lemon, caramelized sugar, and toffee. This coffee comes from the San Augustin region of Huila, Colombia, and is processed using the washed method.
The beans for this coffee are sourced from smallholder farmers in the San Augustin area, where the average farm size is about 2.5 hectares. These farmers grow about 12,000 trees per hectare and produce an average of 0.7 kilograms of exportable green coffee per tree per year. The coffee is then cupped, vetted, and blended together to create a top-quality regional offering that allows more farmers to receive more payment for their high-quality beans.
When you purchase Thrive Coffee's Colombia Single Origin Coffee, you can enjoy a smooth and sweet cup of coffee while supporting smallholder farmers in Colombia and contributing to a more sustainable and socially responsible coffee industry.
